[ Tezcatlipoca’s expression is hard to read when she dismisses his (half) joke, but to himself, he doesn’t fully have faith that it’s something that will hold. It’s no discredit to her, but more just his cynical view of people. Yet, it’s not something he speaks to. He doesn’t think there’s a need. Instead, he just grins when she gets on the thing like it’s a noble steed. ]

[ Which… is technically true. He does know guns well. But a steady shot? Not so much. [Alice peeps over her shoulder then, brows raised.]

[Alright let's kick this thing into gear. Alice considers the machine a moment and then adds thoughtfully:]
You might want to hold onto me somehow.
[He gets that handful of seconds of warning before she guns it like she stole the thing. They take off into those woods like a shot in the dark -- quite literally until Alice can figure out which switch to flip for the lights.]
[ He laughs as he wraps his arms around her waist snuggly, but it’s clearly something that’s purely practical rather than anything remotely untoward. He’s seen how some of these go, and they can go pretty fast, so he doesn’t want to get thrown off! ]
[ However, he cuts off his cool explanation with a sharp noise as she absolutely guns it more than he expects. He clings to her a little more tightly in his surprise, and he almost loses his sunglasses as they’re cocked askew on his face. Honestly, he should know better than to judge people by their appearances, but still!
The surprise turns to a laugh that’s something short of thrilled, though. He’s an adrenaline junkie with little sense for caution, so this is perfect in his book. ]

[ He laughs joyously and removes one arm from her waist so that he can reach to take off those sunglasses and put them away… But when a tree whizzes by a little too close, there’s an unseen, comical moment where he looks back at it passing. To the front. Waits for her to turn on the lights, and…
…Maybe there is some caution left in him, actually. ]
—Woah, woah, turn on the lights at least! Damn girl!
[ He peers over her shoulder to try and find them himself, but. Fuck. None of this looks familiar to him? So, fuck it, he just reaches out to start flipping random switches that look like they could turn on the lights. ]
