Okay, maybe in some kind of bizarro world that’d be true. (Even though things are pretty damn bizarre here to begin with, but that’s beside the point.)
It’s a good thing things are hectic enough around that Chloe feels confident enough to take more time on this than is probably wise. People have got to be too busy freaking out to go noticing her off in the shadows like this—because she sure as hell would be freaking out again if she didn’t have this little distraction—so she steps back and contemplates her messy scrawling of someone flipping the double-bird at a dorky looking sun. Shit, Springstar’s got two suns, right? Can’t go half-assing it now.
She turns to dip her brush back in that container of paint—and freezes slightly as she catches sight of someone nearby out of the corner of her eye. Someone, she realizes, who is staring right at her.
She scowls at the other girl, and with an accusatory tone:]
