Anyway I hope no one is reading this thread, I really should have taken a nap. And Eustace really should have had the foresight to ask this question earlier so he's not caught unawares by the dark shadow that suddenly spreads across them, apparently from a pair of black wings unfurled from Dokjaganger's back. Go figure. There's not really any time to be surprised by this revelation (though truthfully, a single pair of horns and single pair of wings isn't exactly all that extra, especially in GBFworld), the dark claws outstretched towards him demanding much more of his attention.
His reflexes don't kick in quick enough this time, his feet still trying to find balance on the ground after springing up from his roll, and the outstretched claws find an easy target in the soft flesh of his forearm as he throws one arm up in self-defense. They drag through fabric and cut through skin, Eustace hissing at the sudden burst of pain. But as far as injuries go this is little more than a flesh wound, and it's certainly not enough to stop him from trying to fling his knife into the nearest body part available to him. ]
