[ Regret is still a fairly new concept for Zhongli. It took retirement and 2,000 years of peace to finally begin to understand the tragedy that befell the overly kind Goddess of Salt instead of viewing the events in terms of what had to be done. If it turns out that the last memories of Azhdaha would be this one instance recorded by Kaeya, would he regret it?

Perhaps.

But to Zhongli, this single momentt may have captured his friend more accurately than history's less favorable view.

Still, he can't help but feel warmth at how Kaeya is still trying to look out for him when all that ties them together is a shared world. Mondstadt chose its Knights well.

Your advice and warning are appreciated in equal measure. But please do not worry too much. I have accomplished all that I wished to here, and I am curious to see how the results will unfold when this is over.

[ Zhongli slides down to a sitting position, chilled for sure, but pats the frozen ground next to him. ]

Might I ask if you've done the same? Or what you wish to accomplish? I'm sure Azhdaha would be thrilled for the chance to watch over two people instead of one for a while.
