It was subtle, but Byleth perked slightly at the invitation. Rare was it that someone offered to share his company, what with his terrifying reputation and social awkwardness scaring most people away.
"I'm Byleth. A pleasure." he replied, and he placed a hand over his unbeating heart and dipped his upper body in a shallow bow. He was mimicking what the Kingdom nobles did when introducing themselves, as it seemed to be the polite thing to do. Of course, he had no title or noble line to follow up, so he paused fractionally before straightening back up.
"Thank you for the invitation," he continued. "It's very kind of you. I must confess, though, that I have never sat and read with someone before. Are we to do it in complete silence, or may we speak whilst reading?"
