"Rested? Not at all." He says it cheerfully enough, but his smile is tired and his eyes are heavy- it gives away how exhausted he is.

"If I could only shake this lethargy... alas, I fear it is here to stay for a while." And so, he's spent much of his time in the library, where it's 'safe.' It wouldn't do to go out adventuring while in this state.
