the doppelgangers? obnoxious. the closer they get to the end of the week, the more times gu yun has had to find himself into this stupid labyrinth, but, he's starting to get the hang of dealing with his own. his doppelganger walks the mirror with a sort of wistful ease, his eyes closed, appearing and reappearing just to remind gu yun of his regrets every now and then. he seems to know that psychological warfare might be the more effective mannerism, although, gu yun's strength of will and own ability to play incredibly deaf is advantageous here. he's let his medicine run very low.
he hears the thump of someone hitting the ground not through his ears, but rather, feels it on the cracking, icy surface, and straightens from the corner he's found himself around. a black crow flying over his head makes a caw noise, and gu yun abruptly turns.
maybe the doppelganger's not expecting it? sooyoung probably isn't. but, seemingly out of the shadows of the blackness, a fucking bird comes diving downwards. it all happens very quickly, because one minute, there is a decent sized crow coming straight for the hand sticking out of the mirror like threading a needle, and the next, in perfect tandem, there's another person right behind sooyoung, who not exactly gracefully scoops her right up off the ground.
that person! turns out to be the familiar face of 'shen shiliu' who is lookin a lot stronger than he did dicking around on a couch in springstar a couple weeks ago as he picks sooyoung up like she's made of paper and takes a leap backwards, away from the floor doppelganger. at least it's a nice carry? it matches the icon! ]
