Unfortunately, as much as he would like to, her can't follow Zhongli freely around since he has to make some effort at this and business even though he doesn't care all that much about this oracle thing. Afterall, it takes a lot to keep the form integrity of water, magic or not, when one isn't constantly connected to it. Anything less though would be inferior in Childe's eyes, and something about giving the god of war a weapon that isn't his best calculated craftsmanship doesn't sit well with him.
In truth he's been working on it for several hours. He's just putting the finishing touches on it. Once he's done he'll let the weapon float over in front of them both and take aim with his hydro bow and several of its arrows to test how it holds up again constant magic influx. It seems to do quite well, the arrows splattering off it harmlessly and no malformed shadows or links to its structure are seen afterwards. Satisfied, he'll float it over to Zhongli now. ]
It probably will take lot of effort to break, but be careful. If my powers go completely haywire and messed up or I get taken out, it'll fall apart immediately on you.
