As you dream, bearer, after the last world has passed, and after you have seen the terrible visage of Oblivion looming before you, darkness comes for you, a deep sleep. For most, it is dreamless, but for those whom have preserved their own shards through this long (long) trial, your sleep is not dreamless. There is a connection between you and this shard, and it radiates with a soft, comfortable sensation. It is inert, but it is a soul – a piece of a soul. As you dream, you commune, and within it you see…a different you, with different choices, but just as present in Kenos as you are now.
You have always been seen as a Free Spirit amongst your fellow shard-bearers, and your time here has been long, drifting from one city to another, sampling all that it had to offer. You understand what it is to have little, and so given the opportunity, you indulge in it all. With your experience between the two, it is no surprise that the one that catches your eye is Zenith, when you finally settle. The embrace of all that bearers once were and what they could be again sparks something in you, in your imagination. You see Zenith for what it is, you think, potential. The potential to grow, the potential to shape a future for all.
You invest in your faction, and you find yourself sought after by some of the burgeoning political elements within Highstorm. Your time is filled with parlor parties, the wealth and extravagance that often feels excessive, given that there are those in Highstorm who do not have such, but the longer you are wrapped into it, the longer that seems more and more distant. You try to change their opinions, but with enough pushback, it seems something you can’t really fight. Then it becomes something you don’t think about. Then it becomes… not a concern at all. Why had you ever felt uncomfortable with those highborn you work with? As long as you are perpetuating Zenith’s cause, what does it matter? The matron even lavishes you with favors, and you help the council enact changes that favor the powers within the system. When the dream ends, you see… only nothing – the Oracle event ends, but for some reason, it only fades into static, as if the shard cannot share, or does not remember, how it resolved.
