The burden of deciding the fate of any world would be an incredibly heavy thing for most, no matter how small they were. These worlds are populated, whether by dreams or other dreamers, and it would be unwise to dismiss them as something immaterial and unimportant.

Why would they be here at all if the stakes didn't matter? Why would some strange force be looming over the proceedings if there were no value? But it would make things simpler, easier, to pretend that none of this means anything. ]
