[ ... stealth with Byleth surely enough always prove to be a challenge in and of itself, doesn't it?

Shez casts him the occasional glance from the corner of his eyes, trying to draw as little attention -- and... also not to downright laugh, that would definitely be counterproductive! -- but they're still stopped by a pair of mages along their way. The interaction is brief, if not overly concerned: one quick look from head to toe and Byleth is encouraged to go seek a heal tile for whatever was evidently ailing him. They can't afford to show weakness, you see!

Quick on his thinking (for once, in case of emergency only), Shez gambles on there being one such tile inside the chapel, to which the mages hurry them in with a shooing motion before ambling off on their business. With a liability turned handful excuse and no Viskam incidents in sight, they're free to step inside the building, where a lengthy hallway greets them upon entrance. Stone pillars line the pathway on either side, tall as though piercing the surface above, with a multitude of figures sculpted at their feet, men and women of faces unknown, but undoubtedly human in appearance.

Though their eyes are cast upwards, there's the distinct feeling of being watched-- or at least, Shez feels like he is. ]

... guess churches are churches no matter where, huh? Places of healing and all that.

[ And creepy? Yes, also very creepy, don't let (other) Seiros folks hear him. At least in Garreg Mach there were only statues of the four saints, but this may as well be an entire pantheon... ]

C'mon. The Shard must be further inside.

[ Eyes on the prize, don't let this bother him!! (Spoilers: it does.) ]
