[The new body takes some getting used to. With time and possibly a little help Alice feels sturdy enough on four hooves to start picking her way further into the mountains. It's where she had come to at after arriving in this world and she's no stranger to delving further into the woods.
What she ends up finding is a village packed full of even more people ... no, wait, what was it Hayame has called herself? Jinba? Yes, that. Only these are obviously children and once she appears all disheveled and only vaguely confused by now what world she must be in?]
[A] [The children crowd around her, swarm her in fact. At least a few of the smaller ones do and Alice looks thoroughly lost by it. She never grew up with playmates her own age after all and while she does have a younger brother now she isn't often in his company. The sets of little faces peering up at her have a flustered blush coloring her whole face as she looks up to someone, anyone nearby for help. Or maybe not help but just ... guidance?
Now is the perfect time for someone to put one of the littler babies straight into her arms too. She's a woman after all, she's bound to know what to do, right?]
[B] [Thankfully Alice does manage to figure out what to do with kids -- you play with them. Once she's given the littlest of the foals over to someone who might know what the hell they're doing she seems to get along perfectly fine with the ones who can walk and run but are a little too young to do much real work.
She can be caught play sword fighting with sticks with some of the older children. Amusingly she does seem to be giving them real sword fighting tips, telling them to concentrate not just on the tip of their blade but the whole area itself and such. It's probably a little over most of their heads but if anyone watches her or asks she'll explain:]
This was how my great-grandfather taught me. It's important to set foundational rules from the beginning.
[C] [Eventually though she can be found playing tag with the children. She gets very good at sliding in on her front hooves to scoop up her "it" target if they're little enough and can even be caught cuddling on them after before she put the child down again. For once in her life Alice Malvin looks every bit the young twenty year old that she really is beneath the layers of noblesse oblige and military leanings.
She laughs a little if any adult catches her in the act, her voice warmly fond as her eyes follow the rest of the children.]
I never thought of what it would be like to have children. After this world though ... I think I might enjoy it.
[She understands this is not quite the same as having her own children of course. Maybe?]
[D] [Later in the day one can run into jinba'd Alice on patrol around the village. She has her Mahne gripped by it's handle to her right side and makes steady time around the border of the village itself.
She's slide right back into the military training of hers -- shoulders stiff, eyes alert. Her tail even flicks in that subtle way of saying that she's at high alert for anything that wants to try to sneak past her.]
[II] SILVERGROVE (Jade's World); OTA [Another skip, another world. Alice isn't sure what to make of all of this still but her best trait really is the ability to roll with the punches. She's doing a whole lot of rolling at the moment.]
[A] [Alice's first thought beyond the searing headache she had to get through is that this place is very tranquil. The guard is nice and the first person she stops by to ask where she's at is upbeat, bright and more than happy to welcome her to Silvergrove.
She ends up strolling through a marketplace not so unlike the ones at home. It would be a relaxing atmosphere if not for how often the Boy ends up getting mentioned when she asks about anything.]
... Who is 'the Boy'?
[B] [When Alice does manage to find this Boy there is an immediate chill that runs over the back of her neck. She'd pin it on her intuition and something being off here but she can't quite imagine what it would be. In Karrusel where everyone was fearful of the armored train and it's military operators there had been distinct tension in the air even from the start. Here it's extraordinarily calm and peaceful.
He wants her to grant him wishes though for the necklace he wears and while she doesn't exactly want to take it from him she does oblige him. What harm can it do to grant his wishes?
That's why she's here at the Old Silver Fortress as the locals call it. It's vastly overgrown with plant life and she has to ask out loud:]
Would any books from here still be legible? The humidity would ruin them.
[III] TOKYO, JAPAN (Kiritsubo's World); OTA [This world is far more modern than the other two, that doesn't take long for Alice to figure out. All she honestly has to do is look around herself for a moment. The architecture is something of a mix though, none of it exactly familiar but close enough that she's fairly sure she knows what buildings are what ... maybe.]
[A] [There are so many blooming trees! Alice isn't sure what to make of them beyond the pink petals seemingly everywhere. Traveling to where a majority of those blooming trees are though takes her to an area where people seem to be enjoying picnic lunches.]
This must be some sort of event.
[What kind she isn't really that sure. It has to have something to do with the trees though, yes?]
[B] [Alice has never been to a bar before. Or even a tavern. With her pitiful alcohol tolerance good liquor is frankly a waste on her and she can tell just stepping into this place that it must be expensive. The staff are very well-dressed after all even if their attractiveness barely rates noting in Alice's mind.
Something about this place though makes the back of her neck tingle and ache. Is something about to happen? She seems distracted as she sits down at the bar and takes in the rest of the room.]
[C] [Ah yes, the sounds of screaming amidst a crowd. It's no surprise on will find Alice right there on the scene as the screaming begins, forever ready to dive into a fight if it means helping.
She's stopped in her tracks of course by the humans who are in the middle of contorting in some rather painful looking ways. Her brow furrows mightily and the back of her neck yet again begins tingling. How many times has it done that between worlds?
She looks for the closest person nearby that seems as lost to what's happening as she is.]
I'm not sure what's going on but we have to stop it before the stop [controting? writhing?] changing.
[IV] WILDCARD; OTA
[I didn't cover prompts for all the worlds of course but I'm 100% open to any of them. Want to chill with Alice? Maybe fight with her? Go exploring? Feel free to abuse this wildcard prompt for that!
