He knows it’s not exactly natural, and it had been a little strange even for him at first… But whether it’s something you hold or something more ethereal, Tezcatlipoca is a guardian of souls and deeply respects them. He would have been annoyed for it to not be given the proper respect in turn.

Though, internally, he does stutter a bit over Link calling Daybit his partner. Sure, he’d been the one to say it and introduce him that way, but it’s different to hear it from someone else. He knows it's stupid, too. He'd answered his Daybit’s call and agreed to destroy the world with him, on an extreme end. They’d shared a bed and Tezcatlipoca had made many meals for him, on the end that was much quieter. And now here in Kenos, Tezcatlipoca had chosen him above every other soul to be the precious one worth saving. What else could they be but partners?
