He can take a good licking from a normal fistfight and walk away from it without too much fuss, but some cuts and bruises are a lot different than having parts of a building fall on top of your limbs and crush them. He certainly doesn't have any super human ability to deal with pain.

Though he does at least have enough tolerance that he can suck it up and let Gavial do what she needs to do right now, even if it's momentary uncomfortable. Trying to focus on not reacting to his physical pain at least distracts him for a moment from the emotional crap he's going through right now.

Gavial's comment has him glancing to the side as he looks at the rubble though, his chest squeezing still at the sight of it. ]

Given what Link tried to warn us about, I'm thinkin' they were already plannin' on goin' in for the kill... we just beat 'em to the punch.

[ There's some grim satisfaction in that, but what they did in Springstar was still pretty damn horrific, so it's a very complicated satisfaction at best. ]
