[ In the physical world, feeling her anger makes him slow from a jog to a walk to nothing at all. Amos is left standing there, increasingly confused and maybe — if he thinks about it — a little upset. Not because Gavial is chastising him, but because he's clearly done something to upset her. ]

[ — know what you're talking about? But before he can finish the thought he realizes how stupid it is; it's a wisp she might catch hints of before realization comes crashing in on him. He'd only been focusing on one guy when in Springstar, but he'd still been on its streets. He'd still come across destruction and bodies, as much as he'd ignored it at the time.

As much as she is forcing him to not ignore it now, and there is a pit settling in his stomach: the realization that he fucked up.

He folds, immediately. ]
