Hm... perhaps ice spells in combination with the light would be safer, in retrospect.

[Thinking on it, sending flames into the air whipped up by wind magic - while he trusted his and Yuri's control and precision, the slightest errant ember might, ah, catch and then... well, he was certain that there'd be severe disapproval at burning down the tree and the moonbugs on it.

And it'd be easier to shape the ice in a way to refract light to create a rainbow effect. Possibly. Admittedly, I've never tried it before... but we can give it a try.
