I had considered two things: the likelihood of the Holy Grail War returning, and the idea of being a well-rounded mage. Perhaps I should have started study at Clock Tower earlier, but in the end the decision was mine. I decided that I could handle concealing my true nature to continue familiarizing myself with the idea of a normal person's life. This way I could better make sure that I wouldn't break the first rule of the Mage's Association.
[AKA "first rule of fightclub = don't talk about fightclub". So if she knew what a relatively normal person's life was like, she could operate her magecraft within the realm of believable secrecy and not get in trouble if an accident happened — because she'd have a convincing cover story ready.]
