It's true that tensions have been high between the two cities, but Rin probably isn't the type to spring an underhanded trap on her, she has entirely too much magely pride for that. So it should be fine, really, they've spent plenty of time together as (unspoken) friends, just like they're doing now, chatting pleasantly and being comfortable in each other's company. They get along well, Rin has proven herself to be a gracious host, and Gray is a polite guest. There would be absolutely no issue between them and Gray knows it, they may in fact be a perfect pair as far as hosts and guests go, there would be no friction or drama. There is actually no valid reason for Gray to refuse the invitation, except that Eustace and the household might wonder what she's up to, but it'll be easy to shoot them a Communion message and it will be completely fine. Yes, everything will be fine. It would in fact be weird and rude for her to answer in the negative.
