He is also not thrilled to note the huge insect lifting off entirely from the flower, taking D with it as the other man clings to one of its legs. He really doesn’t want to see the hornet just disappear off into the garden while D is carried along for the ride.

[Against his better judgement, Liem dashes towards the oncoming wasp, drawing a long, dark dagger as he goes. He has to avoid the bug’s attempt to snatch him up in its jaws, the serrated edges just clipping him as he ducks past, on his way to the side where D is still clinging. Is he intending to pile on too…?
No, fortunately not. He only throws the dagger in his hand, the unnaturally-sharp blade finding the wasp’s side and sinking in right to the hilt. Like the crossbow bolt, this little wound doesn’t seem debilitating to the wasp, which only buzzes harder as it flies up with its goth passenger.
But it does put the dagger’s hilt within D’s reach.]
