[ It's cool; for Amos his gun is straight out of a sci-fi movie, too. But it's extra useful, and he loves it, so it's all working out for him.

Or, well. It should be, except for the fact that Gray is refusing him and taking off with one of the Effigy's objects anyway. His own expression softens as hers does — of course Gray would take the time to apologize to him, even in the midst of a high-stakes conflict like this — and then she's got the wing and is gone.

It's conflicting, because Amos really would be inclined to go straight for the kill in most situations, but Gray is like a kid sister. The last time they'd experienced battle together they'd been on the same side, him giving her orders; now he needs to chase after her, and...

He grits his teeth as he lowers the setting on his gun before giving chase; any shots that might hit anything living will probably feel like the sting of a bug bite (which, at this size, is... probably still pretty bad, actually. Just not lethal); anything that hits anything else... like, say, the blade of her glaive... might just bounce off, giving him something to dodge, causing him to fall a bit behind her in his pursuit.

But he's still going to keep firing, aiming at the rest of the weapon in hopes of breaking it apart so she'll lose the wing. If some shots hit her, slow her down, then... then that's what happens. Amos beats his wings as fast as he can in an attempt to catch up, and if he manages to get ahold of the wing without killing Gray... that's when he can apologize to her. ]
