[ In some cases having someone calm around could really soothe a panicking person. Sadly this wasn't the case here, because considering the giant fucking spider trying to eat him, Atsumu felt Amos could do with a little more panic right now. Sure, Amos was objectively right, but objectivity is a selective beast that tended to pack its bags and leave for a bit when Atsumu was feeling high stress.

While the calm tone doesn't do much to help Atsumu, the fact that Amos actively hustles to get closer to him, and in turn the monster trying to eat him, does seem to have a more immediate effect, some desperate hope flashing across his face. Though the panic returns at the question.

It's reasonable, of course. His gun. Give him the gun, let him shoot the spider. The problem is the gun is the only thing Atsumu has to wave at the spider if it crawls close again, so if Amos can't shoot it then...

Then the only thing Atsumu has left is his hand, and if a fang manages to clip him........

I ain't even workin' right! I can't shoot it!

[ The reluctance to comply is palpable. He's not calm enough to think to ask if Amos knows how to set it so it does work. ]
