Normally, he would assume that a question like this was just a joke he was making in the face of the task ahead, or perhaps just an innocent, somewhat hopeful question. But Liem doesn’t like the considering look that his companion is wearing as he regards him.]

[He went flying with Quetz once on the back of her flying lizard, and that experience left him quite sure that he was happier with his feet connected to solid ground. Or at least, to a tree that is itself connected to solid ground. In any case, there are no friendly flying lizards anywhere in sight.]
I’m a good climber, though.
[If he were just worrying about himself, there would be no problem! However, if there really are spiders guarding the faerie wing in that tree, it would be foolhardy for either of them to venture up alone. That being the case, they really should go up together, or at least in relatively close succession.]
