It's involuntarily — he hardly notices it himself — but when Hythlodaeus speaks of spending his time with Emet-Selch, of it having been years since they last saw each other, Amos gives his hand a fond little squeeze. It's just... a really nice sentiment. He's happy for him, and that's how he ends up expressing that particular sentiment.

That pleasant warmth he's feeling continues as they walk and talk. "Sure have. A local recommended it to me one of the first times I was over there," he says, content. Happy. "I've tried out those drinks they have that like, calm you? Accelerating that sense of zen sure is something."

Judging from the tone of his voice, it's not a bad thing. More interesting and pleasant than anything else, really.
