"I can see how, certainly." And for what it's worth, Hythlodaeus does think it unfair that Silco and the other Zaunites had to suffer so. He's seen the life that Caitlyn had, her ranch with a shooting range in a peaceful countryside, and he can see that she's been able to thrive where Silco couldn't.

"Forgive my questions, if you will. I only wish to see your point of view. I will never understand what it is to truly suffer the way you have, but... well, if you don't mind me saying- you are inspiring." Which is probably not something Silco gets called often.

"For despite the hardships you have faced, you have lived. Despite the odds, you are here." And perhaps Silco doesn't find that particularly wonderful, but Hythlodaeus does.
