I think that it didn't work out because people were willing to only listen to their own thoughts and feelings. They were not willing to understand you, and so, it made you feel as though you were doing wrong.

[ It is very nice to be able to isolate and alienate Amos from that which he knew. Even if there was some positive that came from the man's relations with others, Archangel can say that those people let him feel as though he was not like everyone else. And isn't that just so cruel?

Well, he does think that it is cruel. Amos does, indeed, give him the impression that he is a good person. He may be willing to kill, but what "good person" isn't if they have "good reason?"

Indeed, the man seems like a useful person to him, but also someone who truly and honestly desires to look after others. The manner in which Amos does is clumsy and violent, but that is fine.
