[ Amos curls his fingers against Archangel's, embracing the touch as well as he can. It's. Grounding? Accepting? It feels like something good, so he'll reciprocate this as best he can — the language of bodies has always made more sense to him than words. ]

Yeah. There's always a reason. [ He feels... seen? It doesn't really bother him that people have a tendency to mistake him for a trigger-happy whackjob — it's whatever — but to be read correctly is affirming. ] I don't... I don't mean I'm not normal, I mean I know most people think differently from me. I see a solution to something, and other people tend to not get it. I mean, I get why it's like that. They got empathy, and I don't.

[ Another unintentional lie; his sense of empathy is just buried, only unearthed for people he cares about. That doesn't mean it's not there, but it's hard for him to make that connection. ]

I want to. I don't wanna make people upset by solving problems or whatever, but just kinda feels like it's my lot in life. I try, but sooner or later I fuck things up.

[ Just a reality of things — he can only fight his base nature for so long. ]
