Healing could be useful... maybe not so much the calming and befriending beasts. She doesn't need any of them following her around everywhere begging for food, especially when the beasts tend to be her food.

"I'll keep those in mind, although I wouldn't mind if you pointed me to a spell book so I can browse."

Better than wasting her time trying to learn things she doesn't need just because she didn't get to see the whole menu.

"Why can't your kind 'manipulate aether' anyway?" As she understands it, visions don't exist in other worlds, so they don't have to rely on spontaneous blessings just to learn any kind of elemancy. It's strange to think of anyone still being gatekept from it solely for belonging to a certain race.
