[ She smiles when he agrees. Later she'll wonder when she got so forward about inviting people to things. The answer is simply that the alternative is being alone, which isn't as tolerable as it used to be.

Now that Amos is counting on her (in a way), the pressure of purpose revs up her little engine. She looks back out at the crowd, planning her angle of attack. ]

Alright. Here I go.

[ She's serious. This is serious. Even though she's thoroughly cloaked, maybe Amos can see the complete focus in how she scans the crowd, her body braced as if she were about to launch into an attack.

Eventually she quickly wiggles her way through an opening, but remembering that she's supposed to be clearing the way for Amos too, starts to push her way forward with bigger energy like he showed her. Without magical strengthening to power her, it's tougher than she's used to; instead she finds fuel in Amos at her back. Some people even clear out of her way way they see her coming(!!), though some still neglect to notice her. After a few pauses in which she has to hop a little to get her bearings above the crowd, and a time or two when she fully bounces off people who refuse to move, they finally reach the gardens of Katoikitikós.

The gardens are nested deep within the residential district, each house a proud representative of the worlds of their owners. As the crowd gives way to a tamer dispersion of people, Gray finally has room to relax until her pace becomes a stroll. It becomes clear that the people dotted around the gardens are at work, many of them crouched in pairs. She assumes this is why she was recruited to the area. ]

... We made it.

[ Thank goodness. ]
