He's eager to watch the magic unfurl, so eager that he doesn't even recall that he'd let his new friend out to stretch his legs. He looks down and chuckles.

Bending down to pick up the small creature, he moves to sit back down with him on his lap. The tortoise doesn't want to sit still, however, beady eye looking up at Emet-Selch as he determinedly marches towards him on the couch.
"He seems to like you." Or maybe he just feels that Emet-Selch is invading his personal space and wants to headbutt him more. Who can really say? "Well, perhaps the creation should wait until we're not in here. I shouldn't like to see the poor thing get eaten."
