She demonstrates, putting her thumb on the hammer and pulling it back so that it clicks.

"Then you pull the trigger, here, after you aim. They can be spectacularly dangerous though, so if you find yourself in a situation where you're not sure of what to do with one, err on the side of caution and keep your fingers clear of the trigger."
