[ Childe doesn't appreciate it at all, but with the vines letting go and focusing on Vander, Vander's shove and his own strength having to pull back away from the vibes he ends up getting pushed back well enough and loses his fitting in the process to hit the ground. He's a fast recovery living but he only makes it to one knee and looks in time to see the vine attack go for the other's arm.
That tells Childe that Vander's right about its weak point, and for the moment he clenches his teeth and waits in a position to propel himself into action, ready to spring with his blades again to go for that skulled area if Vander's attack makes it further vulnerable. Since he can't help the other get out of those vines his only option is to try and help accelerate getting rid of it faster.
(He can tell the monster is powered by the shards in some way, and that they have slight influence, but what he hasn't figured out if the creature behind the shards is some type of harvester or if somehow came to manifest itself out of a shard somehow. That would be extremely helpful information right now, funnily enough. )
