"Aye, we can rest for a while... come, follow me." He's stumbling a little himself, but he helps Emet-Selch make his way over to an area shaded from the sun with large awnings made of cloth, and sets him down while sitting down as close to him as possible. All sense of personal space has been lost to him, especially where Emet-Selch is concerned, and he leans in with a giggle and rests his head back on his friend's shoulder.

He remembers what Howl told him- just tell him how you feel- and barely manages to stop himself from sighing wistfully. If only it were that easy.
