As with Horos, he isn't the only person around - and surely not the only Shardbearer around - with ears or another animalistic features, and he's pretty sure he'd kept to himself enough that he hadn't left much of an impression on anyone.
Apparently he'd been wrong on that front.
His naturally suspicious nature means he spends some time wondering if there's some secret catch to the letter, but in the end the promise of a nice new outfit appeals to his practical money-saving sensibilities (RIP his ample Kenoma funds....) and he makes his way to the store, flyer in hand. Turns out there's no catch, not immediately anyway, and the initial consultation goes well enough that he lingers in the store after it's done to do a little extra shopping. The prices are reasonable and the fabric of good quality (as far as he can tell). He'll need new outfits eventually anyway.
Because he's JOBLESS and POOR, he sifts through the discount rack, though the more he pulls out the more he begins to regret his choice. Half the shirts don't even fall to his waist? Why is this one covered in pink birds? What is even happening here?
