he has never had ambitions for himself, no. he has never wanted to accrue power, gain notoreity, have people know his name. impossible to be that kind of person, and take the life of a spy. his fondest ambition had once been a quiet life, but that had proven impossible; and so he'd desired for the destruction of the empire. ambition, in its own way? maybe. he'd never cared what rank he held in the rebellion; or, rather, he'd only cared about his promotions in that they reflected the work he was putting into it, that the higher rank came with higher access to classified documents and operations, better situated him to get things done.

no one has ever called cassian andor ambitious, but he was ready to eliminate anyone who got in his way. for the greater good, he had no line. he can understand better, now, what in her pain had resonated with him. ]


I feel the same. We're all Bearers, right? Our goals are different, but it seems to me that our situation is the same, no matter which faction we're in.
