Though it’s a few worlds past at this point, she had still been one of the gods that had taken up the honored position as the sun itself, and it was an association that had never quite left her. It’s fair enough, since compared to the rude Tezcatlipoca, aloof Tlaloc, and timid Chalchiuhtlicue, Quetzalcoatl’s personality was a natural match. So even as a Servant, heat didn’t tend to bother her.
Liem has likely been at his torturous rotation between sun and shadow for a bit by the time Quetzalcoatl spots him, and she immediately smiles more brightly. It seemed like there were enough Shard-Bearers that had emerged from the Tree that it was probably all of them, but still! It’s good to see a friendly face, which is why she’s rather quick to make her way closer as she waves. ]
