Though it is starting to click things into place for Atsumu. Whatever is happening right now, it's a forgone conclusion, another ghost of the past come back to haunt someone still alive. There's no point worrying that much about this old man, because he's dead and gone, and whatever he's seeing right now isn't real...
But just like the way he looks kind of dead, he also looks kind of real.
Atsumu tears his gaze away from the weirdly tender and intimate slow (?) death happening here, looking for anything of interest to set his eyes on so he can get the the important work of disassociating to hell and back. If he keeps up the mantra of it not actually being real, maybe he can twist his thoughts in enough loops that it feels more like something he saw in a movie rather than something that happened in front of him. ]
