Still, as far as he knows, there is no real safe place, at least in regards to the two cities. (Has the underground been spared, he wonders?) Does Zhongli know something new that Childe hasn't yet gotten wind of because he's been limiting his exposure? ( He just... can't be bothered trying to protect nameless people, especially when Lady Yima had made it clear who and what to prioritize. He's going to have to protect Zhongli and the others from themselves since he can't stop them from trying to help everyone, which means he has to be extra vigilant to be in a good enough position healthwise to do so ]

The way the wall is brushed with that strange color of the blight flowers before the paint flakes off and the wood begins to shrivel and rot has the harbinger cursing before defaulting to a kneejerk reaction: Childe will immediately throw a conjured barrier around the flowers and the cat made of hydro even as the fog surrounds them both.
