[Liem takes only a few jittery steps and a few deep, steadying breaths to banish the worst of his nerves now that he is once again on solid ground. For all that he did not appreciate their sudden jaunt up into the tree’s branches, now, after the fact, he has the benefit of hindsight to see that nothing terrible happened and the whole experience went about as well as it could have, even if he’d felt like dying for most of it.
