byleth ( springstar ).

Yes, yes. I understand. [ Even though he has placed a hand to his chest, even though he has leaned down in an effort to find the individual's gaze with his own featureless mask, the Springstar citizen seems no less troubled by the presence of someone who so obviously belongs to Zenith. Despite Bondrewd's best efforts to diffuse the situation, it is escalating as the individual grows manic, aggressive in their efforts to run him out of the city. They gesture, violent and emphatic. They push their hands to his chest, crying out raggedly for him to get lost, go away — they do not trust him, they cannot trust him. ]

I truly do understand. Springstar is no less a victim of the Blight than Highstorm, and it is why I am here. I mean you no harm. You are adorable, and you are taking ill.

[ If he had facial expressions, his eyebrows might raise, his eyes might alight upon observing the cutting figure of Byleth as the Meridian-aligned man approaches. Instead, there is nothing but glossy, black helm divided by the steady, violet light. He looks like a knight, a suit of animated armor, someone who belongs in the cold of space or the dark depths of the earth, and is it any wonder, then, that he cannot comfort the tempestuous citizen? ]

Pardon me. Are you one of Meridian's Shard-bearers? Would you be willing to take me into your care and watch over my actions? I believe it will be the only way to calm this one, as they cannot bear the thought of leaving me to wander the city unchecked.
