cassian turns when he hears himself hailed, eyebrows raised. it is surprising, and poses something of a relief, to see another shard-bearer around here. because that's what this boy has to be, right? it's only the shard-bearers who are immune. meridian, probably, for being here in springstar. never mind that the location only means so much; cassian is, of course, unharmonized. but he's fairly certain he and jyn are outliers in that regard, not least because they're relatively new around here.
he hadn't specifically been trying to avoid the bubbles, but he hadn't meant to walk into one either, had been as annoyed about it as gen. less for a lack of interest in doing something about the blight — he does want to, how much it's affecting people, and feels responsible with his immunity — than there being so much to do. and this isn't like before, at least stuck with jyn, whom he knows how to talk to.
