Instead, he gives him food. Instead, he engages.
He cannot allow himself to be lead by others, nor their experiences. It is just, that the Vander-Silco situation reminds him of a painful experience of his own; one he must set aside, force aside, for the moment. He can let it lie for the moment, because he is infinitely curious and should he lean upon that aspect of himself, he can stave off the effects of disobeying the rest of it. ]
