[When Hayame still remains prostrate before him, even after her apology has been given and accepted, Liem frowns. How long has she been lying out here, steeped in her guilt and her despair? What doubts still cling to her to keep her lying amidst the flowers instead of getting back up onto her own four legs? He knows that she must have been here for a while, given the concern of the Zenites at the field’s edge, but this place is still so new to him. He doesn’t actually know what dangers might be in store here.

He takes a cautious step forward, then another, wading through the flowers to stop with the toes of his shoes just shy of her bent head.

[His tone is firm, steady.]

Look at me. I’m not going to have an entire conversation with you while you stare at the dirt.
