A "student of history", to Silco, normally meant an Academy brat who normally tried to do something like come down into the depths of Zaun to get robbed blind after trying to study the city for some pet project, to show how hip with the unsavory elements they were. It was the sort of thing that Silco often found a reason to deride -- but then again, wasn't he doing the same thing now?
His lip curled, not quite friendly, but a neutral sort of smile, before he nodded. "Well, I'll set it aside instead of putting it away then, hm?" He had no reason, after all, to be petty to someone asking for a book -- even if the impulse was present. "It's a pleasure Shang," he didn't reach out to shake a hand, but it shouldn't be surprising, given the gloves that covered his hands, like he was establishing a layer of protection against the rest of the world.
