A Groundhog Day situation is a totally reasonable interpretation for what the bead might show! This is definitely an option for any characters that find themselves at a difficult canon point (or maybe just have enough self-loathing to make the normal interpretation not helpful). Basically there is some flexibility in what the beads can show to help it be a comfort to characters rather than a hindrance.
