cutlery: please do not take! (too bad mirrors aren't real)

He was not thrilled with it, absolutely… But very luckily, the irritation was nicely offset by saving his life.

[ In fact, all things considered, he has to wonder now if it maybe would have damaged his Shard, if not shattered it? Hm. Nothing to worry about now, at least! ]

I shall at least hope that I needn’t throw any of my other comrades as it is not ideal, but duly noted! At the very least, the landing is not too hard. I cannot promise you will avoid some nasty bruises or maybe a broken bone if you are unlucky, but I at least have an additional trick to soften the landing just a tad.

[ One he demonstrates in a small way by gesturing to the glass he had set back down. Something darkens around its base, but then it’s lifted by odd and completely pitch-black shadows. They shift against the surface of the glass with a rhythm like water, but they’re sharp-edged as they move. Still, despite how thin and ethereal they look, it’s lifted as smoothly and easily as if Sebastian had picked it up himself. ]

Granted, if it is the sort of situation where throwing is necessary, I cannot promise I can maintain them so easily… But they are helpful.
