The interest continues to surprise him, but he does find it charming. He can’t help but laugh a little, since it’s such a marked difference from how people react to demons. It makes sense since without context, how could the reaction be much more than curiosity? It’s novel.

The slight shadow underneath his teacup suddenly darkens as if it weren’t permitting any light to pass through it at all, and the shadow snakes along up along its bottom edge. The shadows are shifting with sharp-edged whorls and ethereal, but solid enough as they lift the cup with as much ease and balance as if Sebastian were picking it up with his hand. It’s offered for Hythlodaeus to take, should he want to.

It's a showy demonstration, sure, but Sebastian isn’t often allowed those. He’s happy to show off a little bit for once. With a little laugh, he does add, “Ah, though technically speaking, I was only able to travel between two, so I could hardly say I am a true traveler of many realms.”
