"I don't trust anybody," he said, an automatic response to his tone. It wasn't something he was ashamed of, certainly. His tone is plain, blunt. There's only one person Silco does trust, and he isn't liable to share who that is, lest they go for her in response. He's a hard man, from a hard world, and it's apparent from the ever-open eye to the way he mildly says he trusts nobody.

"It's not a personal thing, mind. I just think she would throw us under the bus if her goals required it. I would do the same though, so..." he shrugged.

It wasn't a bad thing. It was simply...how life worked, right? "You're not wrong about 'hope', then again, I've never put much stock in something like that."
