[ At first, there's a sickening moment, where Silco wondered if this had all been a trick. He didn't hear her voice, and as he struggled to pull himself out, there's a few heartbeats of realization that perhaps this was a deception by the tree. He felt his motions, as he pulled off the vines become less frantic and more angry, but as he started to actually look around, and his eyes --

It wasn't a trick.

Silco, clumsier than he would have liked, practically drug himself out of the pit peeled himself out -- was Cyrus even there? Silco didn't even pay attention, even if he was. He rushed forward, single minded, and he hovered over the tangle of vines, where his daughter lay.

With surprising gentleness, Silco started to pull the vines away, to note the root, slithered beneath her, trying to keep her locked in place. His fingers go frantic, tugging the tangle of vines to the side -- he looked to her face, her brow knitted with a bad dream. It's difficult to assess, when everything screams to just fix it, and Silco doesn't know what to do. Will it hurt her -- or worse? He nudged her body to the side, where he could see the root.

Instinct says to just pull it, but Silco is smarter than that, isn't he? He may not be fully calm, but he looked up, and surveyed the field. Watched as someone down the line reached down to tug one of those out from someone. He waited, long enough to confirm life, see them rise. If someone else could do it, Jinx could do it.

He tugged, at the root, and tried to pull it free.
