[Annoyance sours Liem's expression at the direction the man's questions have taken him in. The line of his spine manages to become even straighter and stiffer than it already was, despite the sedative qualities of both the bath and the drink.

His supposition about the nature of Liem's previous guidance lands with pinpoint accuracy, and the implication accompanying his questions—that Liem learned nothing from his days in his temple, that he is afraid to do anything now that he's not clutching his god's metaphorical apron strings—digs in like barbs. He would readily admit to having plenty of personal failings, but a failure to understand his god's will hasn't been among them for roughly a human lifetime.

My patron was an advocate for cautious, careful consideration in all matters. He frowned on impulsiveness.

[Liem's fingers remain still on his tea mug, but his grip tightens slightly as the other man leans closer. Despite moving very little, his hold on it begins to suggest the grip someone confronted with a vampire might maintain on a cross.]

There is no need for me to rush. So: I am considering.

[His consideration will probably involve at least one chart before he's satisfied; possibly multiple. But that's not really an ideal activity to pursue while in the bath.]
