[Liem is fortunate in that what enemies he could have claimed back in Horos—the demons who hunted him down and returned him to Achamoth, the Regent who saw him as a tool and a possession—have all been left behind to experience whatever oblivion he and the other shard-bearers managed to escape. Although he has no one here he could honestly claim as friend, he is at least equally free of people who might wish him harm—at least for now.

Perhaps the others that Hayame met have no wish to continue past conflicts either, now that they're in another world. Even Sebastian may wish to return to his civil guise. Such wishes would be poor comfort to an archer still lacking her second eye, not to mention the bow she'd used back in Horos.

I've seen him.

[Even considering Sebastian's cultured mien, he very much doubts that the demon has any remorse for taking Hayame's eye. Perhaps isolated acts like that are an amusing game to him.]

But being uprooted in this way is normal for his kind. If you're still grappling with the things you lived through in Horos, that's normal.
